Phew so happy to have these done : ) They have been keeping me busy at night for the last 5 or so days and I am so pleased they are finished and I can share them and then get them in the post. When we had Flynn 3 years ago I wanted to do a birth announcement to share with our close family and friends but life got busy and I didn’t make it a priority and I still regret not making the effort. This time around I really wanted to find the time to make this happen so last Wednesday whilst Flynn was enjoying some time with Nanna I ran around getting photos developed and choosing papers/ envelopes etc.
The design is quite simple and plain as I had 40 of these to make plus 40 thank you notes whatever I did I had to be able to easy replicate by 40.The front is a 6×4 photo with a 6×2 strip of patterned paper along the bottom of the card. The scallop circle is made by a punch from Stampin’ Up in yellow card and I then printed Olivers full name on white card and punched it out with a plain circle punch.
Here are the finished 40 all ready to be posted : ) –

A close up of the front of the card-

And the inside of the card-
On the inside I have the birth information at the top and then 2 passport sized photos. A few of you asked about these sized photos in a previous post I had done- I get my photos printed at Big W and you can choose this size at the kiosk where you can choose the passport option and can then print any 2 or 4 photos you like on a 6×4 paper size. They are a great option for scrapbooking as well and I now use them a lot especially when I have a lot of photos of the one event

Wow Jade the announcements look fantastic!!! I still dont know how you find the time, you must have lots of energy! I seem to be in bed by 8pm of late!
I didnt realise you could get passport size photos from Big W photos – I am actually picking up some today for my son Daniel’s album – I will keep the passport size in mind for my next announcements and for both boys albums! (Thanks for the tip!)
No problems Sarah they do make a nice change : ) Oh and don’t worry I also crash out at about 8pm most nights given half the chance LOL !!
They look fantastic Jade! Enjoyed your last couple of posts too, been away for the long weekend so missed reading xxx
They are just gorgeous Jade.
