1. I would love to see a picture of your computer nook in the kitchen as we are building a new house and just doing the plans now and love that idea.
This would have to be one of the BEST things we did in this house. If you are building/renovating I highly recommend it and it works especially well in an open planning living area and when you have children. We have an office but I love to work out here as I can be out with my family and stop to play, make lunch, wipe noses. The drawers are great for family stuff, bills and paperwork etc.

And in relation to the rest of our kitchen-

2. A question I would like to ask is how does Flynn fit into Baby Bootcamp? My little (big boy) will be 2 when baby 2 arrives so I was wanting some tips for him.
So far so good with Flynn. I normally get up and shower, dress Flynn and myself and make his breakfast before Olivers first feed. Sometimes this means a “picnic” breakfast on our bedroom floor watching movies- but that it ok too : )
For the first few weeks I am happy for Flynn to do what he feels like during feeding time- as long as it keeps him happy and not destroying the house. This might be a movie, colouring, playing cars or trains after a little while I am going to make this a bit more structured and out an activity out for him to do during this time. I have heard of mums doing up special buckets of stuff for the older child to play with which I think is a great idea. Flynn is a little older though and so he entertains himself a lot.
Lunch- I try and make this up early so that come lunch time if Oliver is feeding (which he often is) then Flynn’s lunch is ready to go.

Dinner is precooked as per my previous post a few months ago in the months prior to Oliver being born every meal we made we did extras and so I have not had to cook a meal since he was born. I still cook over the weekend when I feel like it but is it lovely knowing we don’t “have” to. I also did a lot of bulk shopping and so I only need to do quick trips to the shops for milk/fruits etc.
A few months before Oliver was born we also switched our night time routine around so that Simon put Flynn to bed each night and did the entire bed, bath and story routine. This was in case I was tied up with Oliver and also for me to have a break at the end of the day. This has worked SO well and I love hearing these two boys bond at the end of the night and do their “thing” together. This has really helping with the transition for Flynn as he gets 1 on 1 time with daddy as well every night. When the weather is good they also go out for a walk together to the park most nights.
Hope some of these tips help : )
3. Where is the nappy caddy from? My gf in Perth (I am country) has looked and asked in Karrinup and Joondulup Toys R Us but to no avail.
I bought the caddy from Toys R Us Joondalup but you could also try the Cannington store.
This nappy caddy made by Bbox sold at Button Baby HERE it comes in 3 colours and is the same price as the
JJcole caddy.
Hope this helps !
4. 3) Where did you purchase Flynn’s art folder and your armchair in the nursery?
By the art folder I presume you mean the green album in this post HERE?
If so you can find these album at Scrapbook.com HERE and they come in loads of cute colours as well.
The armchair is from Ikea and is called the Ektorp armchair and footstool and you can find them HERE on their website.

*sigh*
I just adore your kitchen! would love to be able to build one just like it.
Wondering if you can show us a house plan??
Cheers
I am in love with your kitchen!
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but do you have two sinks in your kitchen?
I am wondering about sinks too! I can only see a vegie washing sink, where do you wash your dishes? Love your study nook
Absolutely stunning kitchen. Love the neutral colours. Divine!
Beautiful kitchen. Read your blog every day
Not sure if you mentioned it before, but what do you do for a job (usually, not when on maternity leave). I am wondering if you are something like an accountant (like me
) who also has a big creative outlet!
Thanks Jade. x
I would love to see how you organise your tupperware/plastics drawer… mine is an absolute mess and I really don't think there is any way to make it better. So would love to see photos of what you do to contain (pardon the pun) yours!
