So I am 30 weeks this week. Whoa the time is flying by, it really goes so much quicker the second time around. I am starting to get some things organised around the house which feels great and I am going to be doing up a master to do list this week of what we have left to do. It is funny how that nesting instinct kicks in and this energy and desire to sort the ENTIRE house comes from. Things I have over looked for months maybe even years are now bothering me so much I have to get stuck in right then and there. No corner of the house is save- no cupboard, drawer or room.

This is what my huge list (and belly) is looking like at the moment-
Bulk Cooking- I did this when I had Flynn but not quite to the same extent as I will this time. I plan on having a few months worth of meals frozen and ready to go. I have compiled a list of what I am going to be making and each week I am going to be making one bulk meal- when I cook out normal dinner. These will be frozen in a chest freezer and so will last for the several months needed. I like to be able to do meals whereby I would just need to add the rice/pasta and vegetables on the actual night.
That way dinner consists of defrosting the frozen meal in the microwave and just cooking the pasta for example. Some of the things I am going to be making include- Curry, Chilli con carne, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Tomato and vegetable soup, Pumpkin soup, Tuna pasta bake, Pesto chicken pasta just to name a few. I think having a winter baby helps with this idea as the meals are a lot more freezer friendly in winter such as soup etc.
Cupboards and Drawers- Like I said none of them are save. Every single one of them will be pulled apart purged and resorted. This is a great 5 minute project or whilst dinner is cooking etc. The other day I had an urge to do this in the kitchen and so I pulled apart a few cupboards with the help of my long suffering husband Simon whilst dinner was cooking. I am going to keep working my way through all of them over the next 10 weeks and I am hoping to have them all done by the end of May.
Shopping stock up- I had done this every month up until the last 6 or so months by with sickness taking over just getting through the days was hard enough this was one of the things I pushed to the side which I would love to start doing again. A stocking stock up for me consists of anything non-perishable that I can fit in my cupboards. Some examples include Laundry powder, fabric softener, toilet paper, tinned food (tomatoes etc) frozen vegetables/pastry/icecream etc. Making sure the pantry is also fully stocked and with spares or cereals/rice/pasta is also part of the bulk shop. I would generally do this once a month/6 weeks and just do small shop in between for dairy/fruits etc, I find this really takes the stress out of the weekly shop as it is a quick pop in as apposed to a long shop every week/fortnight.
Swapping over the boys rooms- This swap has started which feels great we now have Flynn sleeping in his new bad and room. There is still a lot to do in this room but most of the baby stuff has been cleared out, painting will be underway next weekend and then I just need to decorate, curtains etc.
Ok well enough about that I am sure you all get the idea by now, rest assured the list stretches a lot longer than I am sure any of you have time for but just to leave you with a few photos of our office. My to do list in here is just to label all of the boxes and baskets and also purge anything in them that can be thrown out. I also want to re do the filing system with new labels and files.
The right hand wall in the office. This is a fairly small room and we plan on re decorating this room next year with lots of overhead cupboards which will create room for 2 desks. Until then we make it work.

The wall as you walk in the door-

Sounds like you have a lot to do in the next 10 weeks Jade!
Where did you get the little display board with the drawers/shelf? under it from? I think it would be perfect to display my meal place recipe cards each week.
i too am 30 weeks this week, so congrats for hitting the milestone too!
I’m wondering if you have anymore recipes for easter coming our way??? I need to plan to cook early next week for my daughters daycare staff and still don’t know what to put in their treat bags!!!??? I’m going to do a batch of your biscuits but I don’t know what else!
Thanks!
