This was my 365 photo for one of the days last week. It really captures a lot of what is going on in our life right now- which is why I took it-
Its Daffodil day here soon and so I bought some flowers to donate to the cause. Flynn is really into cooking at the moment-hence his little Tupperware containers on the bench, where he can put all the goodies he makes. We are planning Fathers day and so hence the breakfast book out deciding what to make Simon for his special day. Behind that is our bread book from our homemade pizza night the other night.
The recipe books on our kitchen bench change regularly depending on the time of year and what we are doing. Imagine how different this scene will look 5 years from now. There will be no bibs on the bench- and the little bowl behind the cook book stand with dummies and sippy cup lids will also surely be gone.
And so although it is just my island bench in the kitchen it really does tell a story of where our family life is right now, today.
