It is a very house sort of post today : )
1. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but do you have two sinks in your kitchen?
Nope you are quite right there are 2 sinks in the kitchen- I cannot remember the exact reason we did this as we designed this kitchen about 4 1/2 years ago but I think it was because of the little round sink. We decided that it would be great for washing fruits and vegetables and got the vegie spray tap as well. I have to say it was one of the best investments and we use it all day every day. Less cleaning out of the sink as it is so small and so handy to have over the main cooking/baking side of the kitchen.
Next to the sink is where I store some of my cookbooks ( I have an addiction) and also where we have our microwave.

The larger deep farmhouse style sink over the other side of the kitchen is where we do our washing up. I love it being so deep as it can hide a multitude of sins or in my case sippy sups, bottles and a breast pump, and you cannot see any of them can you ; )

2. I love the look of your home. You have a great sense of style and design especially for the inside. The house is so full of natural light. How many bedrooms is it? Would you share the plan for it. Look forward to pics from Flynn’s bday…have a great day!
I’d also LOVE to see a plan for the house, as we’re looking for the perfect house to build at the moment, since we are outgrowing our first home.
Thank you so much for all of your kind comments regarding our home, we worked really hard to build it and are very proud of what we have created here. This question was actually asked in my last FAQ’s post but Simon was not able to remember where he put all of the plans !! Now that they have been found here is a copy of them, I hope they are clear enough to be able to work out what rooms are what. It is a 4/5 bedroom home with 3 bathrooms.
Via email a lot of you have also asked who the builder of the house was and that was Metrostyle. They are a WA builder and were fantastic to deal with. The plan was a custom design that Simon and I drew up taking idea from lots of other plans- although since we built this I have seen a few similar designs by other builders. We loved designing the house ourselves as it meant we were able to get exactly what we wanted although it was a LOT of work.

3. Is that an Ikea kitchen Jade?
It was installed by the builder Lisa : )
