Giving back

A value I want to instill in my children is that of appreciation and giving back. Whether  it is your time or money or just a small gift or a card what you do does make a difference. I sometimes think it is sad that we have gotten so busy as a community and we have planned our days so full and busy and we rush so much that we forget to thank and appreciate those we love and cherish.

So this week take the time.

Make some cookies, write a card, send a letter do something to show someone that you care about them. It’s that whole pay it forward and Karma thing : )

Teachers bear the brunt of a lot of our gifts and baked goods etc. Maybe they like it maybe they don’t I am not sure they seem to love it but who knows, what I do know is that they know that we appreciate what they do and that we love them for loving our child.

Just a small thought for an ordinary Thursday : )
