I thought I would share a few ideas for a non chocolate easter, and also some decorating ideas for some of you who are still looking for some inspiration for Sunday
This is a great little project for in front of the TV at night. I bought a bag of small wrapped candy and then printed out some Happy Easter Tabs from my Etsy download found here. I added some double sided tape to half of the tab and then wrapped in half the candy. I am going to be adding these into the take home gift bags for our BBQ on Sunday.
My little to do bag for in front of the TV-

The finished lollies-

Home made easter bunny lollipops. These are really easy to make, you need a bag of Candy Melts, a lollipop/chocolate mould and some plastic lollipop sticks- all found at Spotlight.
Firstly you melt the Candy- I do mine in the microwave you then pour the candy into the moulds, add the plastic sticks and set in the fridge. I will be making mine tomorrow for easter so I will show you the finished product then. The process is really simple and easy, very similar to chocolate in moulds so it is great for the kids to be able to help as well.

Gifts-
We are not buying Flynn a lot of chocolate for easter (one small white bunny) and so to add to his little basket I bought this plastic hatching egg from my local BP service station for $10- I also saw them at Thingz. You submerge the egg in water and 12-24 hours later the chick will start to hatch and will continue to grow over 7 days : ) This was such a fun gift and we gave it to Flynn a little early (today) so that we could see it hatch over Easter.
It will live on our kitchen bench for the next week so Flynn can watch it grow- such a fun idea.

Bunny Lollipops-
I bought these from Red Dot in a pack of 4 for about $2 : ) Bargain !! I plan on inluding these in the kids bags.

Decorating ideas-
You can get these eggs on sticks in packs from most news agency’s or gifts shop around easter time and at $6 per bunch it is truly not worth making these yourself. I just popped mine in a vase in the front hallway to add a splash of colour-

Plastic Eggs-
You can get these in bags from Spotlight, which is also where I got the butterfly ones in this mornings post from. They are great as the kids have so much fun hunting for them and you can either fill them with little eggs or small toys etc.
I always fill my hurricane vase on our family table with these each year as it is a cheap and easy decoration.

Decorations-
I have little bits and pieces dotted around the house collected from various shops over the years and it is fun to get them all out and add some Easter cheer each year to our home.
Some wooden bunnies on our front buffet-

Our shelf, which a touch of Easter-
