It is worthwhile to think outside the box a little when it comes to holidays like easter. There are lots of bits and pieces that you can buy and I have shared a lot of these with you over the last few weeks. But there are also lots of great things that you can do that are free and using things you will likely already have at home.
Firstly find a cute download for cupcake toppers here. I printed 3 sheets of these for muffins and cupcakes.

Once they are printed punch them out with a circle/scalloped hand punch or just cut them out.

Glue together two toppers with a toothpick in the middle, then you can top ordinary muffins, cakes or cupcakes with your cute little toppers : ) If you are going to give these as a gift just wrap the muffins in glad wrap first then add the topper.

Simple, easy, free and effective what could be better !! I also plan on using these little toothpick for hot food for our Easter BBQ we are hosting this weekend. I hope this gives you a few more gift ideas.

I came across these yesterday too and thought they were gorgeous! I ended up using them on our gift bags as well to jazz them up a little. I have had a lot of fun with easter this year for the kids and your blog has helped me out with lots of little hints and tips. I guess holidays are what you make of them and doing lots of little things towards easter and for easter has made the occassion really stand out this year. Thanks Jade!
How funny Danielle I did the same thing last night for our daycare treat bags : ) I love your little easter baskets as well, very cute- I am glad I was able to give you a bit of inspiration this year !! Busymum- I use the 2 inch scalloped circle punch made by Stampin Up. x
Fantastic! Can I ask what brand punches you use?
She uses Stampin UP
i was at spotlight this morning and got some of those cup cake wraps
i thought they were adorable. Nice to see that i have good taste
Though Grace chose the pink ones, instead of green.
The little toppers look really sweet too
I love the little easter egg bowl too… one day i’ll convince hubby that i NEED all the fancy seasonal decorations that i love
Cute, cute Jade, thanks for the link, now I better get baking!! I haven’t been on here over the weekend, so when I check out your blog on Monday it is always such a delight reading all I have to catch up on.
Thanks
Where did you get the easter plate?
Hi Janine- from a news agency they are a Russ brand.
