So I have shared a few of last years projects with you but we are also doing a few new things this year- nothing huge just a few little things to entertain the busy toddler. So here is a little chicken door hanger we made together last week.
Step 1- Have an Easter egg first just to get you started.
Step 2 -get everything ready. This the way I like to set up a lot of my painting, I use a large white sheet of paper to cover the area and then simply lay out what we are doing- paint colours in this case. I always have lots of baby wipes in hand and make sure I use an easily washable paint.

Step 3 – get started. Flynn having fun- he loves painting-

Step 4 – Lets start the painting.

And here is the finished product. I just added a cute little Happy Easter tag that I printed with some ribbon and these will now be ready to give to the Nanna’s : )
*The little chicken door hangers are from Spotlight and come in a pack of two*

That looks really cute
I might steal your idea, but i think i’ll just cut out some big chicken shapes from cardstock… (i avoid spotlight like the plague, it always just empties my purse
)
I also love your idea of doing painting on a big tray. looks like it’d help to contain the mess.
I normally use watercolours with my little girl (the ones that come baked into little circles), and an aquash brush (i got mine from kaszazz, but i’m sure they’re available elsewhere). You fill the brush with water, and gracie paints for ages, without any mess. But nothing beats using real paints… i’ll have to keep an eye out for a big tray now
What a great idea Rita. I so agree with you that place is a money pit LOL : )
