I saw this idea on the Family Fun website and altered it a little to use what I had in my own pantry. They are little egg homemade apple pies- yum!!
Ingredients-
Can of apples- you can buy the apple pie ones
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tp cinnamon
2-3 sheets of puff pastry
1. Combine the first ingredients in a small bowl and make sure the sugar mixture completely covers all of the apple.
2. Cut the pastry into any shapes you like. I tried a bunny the night before with these and as there are too many angles/shapes so one larger shape worked best.
3. Place a small amount of the mixture inside the bottom pastry sheet and then secure with a top pastry sheet- use a fork to press the two sides together.

4. Once the pastry is done whisk an egg and add some food colouring. Brush this on the pastry for some coloured eggs.
5. Bake on a moderate oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Enjoy with some icecream : )

mmm they look yummy…
they remind me of the “poor man’s apple pie” dad used to make for us on rainy days. Puff pastry, pie apples and cinnamon, done in the jaffle iron.. yummo…
Something about apple pie and rainy weather..
MMM and they were SO yummy : )
