It really is the thought that counts over Christmas : ) I made a few of these before I went to work yesterday morning for some work colleagues and neighbours, simple but effective. I just used some cookies we had made the day before and packaged them into these plastic stripy bags that I got from Spotlight. Added a gift tag and tied with a cute ribbon.
It shows that I care and that I am thinking about these people in my life over the holiday period and they have a personal touch.
I had a girlfriend ask me the other day where I get a lot of these gift bags I use on the blog for packaging. These ones came from Spotlight but it is best to find them in the cake decorating section not necessarily the Christmas section- there were a few different designs. I also get a lot of stuff from a gorgeous Etsy shop called Cute Cups . She has loads of cute stuff for baking- a lot of it comes from Japan and it is really well priced. *Hint* start thinking about ordering for Valentines Day now, I know I am.

We made up cute treat bags for DS1's kinder friends (should of taken a photo!) and just used the plan clear bags from spotlight! They're so versatile, you can use them for any occasion! I filled them with a few lollies, an eraser, roll of stickers. Then tied a swirly straw and cool pencil to the bag itself. Some ribbon and a homemade gift tag (saying thanks for being my friend this year) and we were done! It worked out about $1.50 per child LOL
They sound gorgeous Paulette : ) Thanks so much for the idea I will have to borrow that for next year when Flynn starts Kindy.
BTW Paulette I read on your gorgeous blog that you were really disappointed that you did not end up getting the Project Life kit, did you end up buying it from New Zealand as it worked out a lot cheaper?
Still uumm'ing and aaahhh'ing! The cash just isn't in our budget atm. Now I have so much stuff in my study, that I was thinking of getting hubby to take the boys out for a day, and organising either a few LO and putting then in 12×12 pockets, so I know what to do (if that makes sense) or making up a hers worth of cards etc considering my local store has just empty albums for $70, maybe I should just bite the bullet LOL have you got your's yet?
