I was gifted this recipe by a gorgeous friend of mine Bronwyn, this is one of the best place to get recipes- from girlfriends who have made them and their children loved them. Chicken pie- easy and yummy and I just added a small Christmas treat for the family and to encourage my all of a sudden super fussy child (who use to eat everything) to eat his dinner.
As a side note what is with that? Up until 12 months ago Flynn would eat anything, like anything and now- Mr fussy. Not so much with breakfast or lunch he will still eat almost anything as loves his little platters every day. But dinner, another story. He picks stuff out, gags, even pulls stuff out of his mouth OMG it is painful. I was super super fussy as a child and I am sure it is the universe just trying to get me back !!
First cutest cupcake stand ever or what? You can find a similar stand at this gorgeous little shop called Lovely Little Parties which are the Hello Hanna sweet stands. These stands are just TOO cute and as you can see they are also great for cookies as well.

For those that were curious what a muffin top pan is here we go -
Thanks so much to Tanya for posting the link in the comments for the Kitchenware Direct site. The idea is you use it for Muffins to just bake a muffin top but I used it for my cookies. You need a good heaped tablespoon of mixture enough to cover the base as it cooks. I just sprayed a little cooking spray as well to help prevent sticking.
I just thought I would share this quick snack I put together last weekend. We had some left over pesto after the yummy chicken pasta we had made and so when I saw this recipe in I think it was the latest Donna Hay magazine.
It is pesto and prosciutto pin wheels : )
I am always on the lookout for ways to get in just that extra bit of fruit into Flynn’s diet. Although he eats very well for a toddler he has his moments like all children do. And so I like to think of ways just to slip a few sneaky ones in there.
So on the weekend I made a slight alteration to the normal Sunday pancakes and added a pear twist ; ) They were super yummy sliced thinly and just added to the pancakes while they were cooking on the other side. Then flip and cook as usual.
So with spring on it’s way I thought I would re post this ice cream sandwich recipe. I had it up on the blog nearly 12 months ago but with all of our wonderful new readers I thought this was one worth revisiting.
Ice cream sandwiches are simple and easy to make and once I got this recipe from a girlfriend years ago I have been making them regularly ever since.
It was great to see from the comments on Saturday that some of your love the recipes I post and actually cook them too- even better : ) Now if you were one of those who made the chocolate brownie I hope that you have a few left for this little gem of an idea from Bakerella.

I know I know I teased you the other day with this lovely photo-

This is a chocolate slice I made last week. I would love to share the recipe as it is my go to recipe as it idoes not require any chocolate- which is perfect for when you have that craving but have none in the house : )
I am attempting to try one new recipe per week at the moment and trying to add a few new things to our everyday list of family favourites. One of my new favourite cookbooks at the moment is Healthy Babies by Womens Weekly, there are lots of great recipes for kids and general family in both snacks and meals.
Ingredients-
So I haven’t posted a recipe in a little while, I have been baking but just my old tried and true recipes – sticking to what I know as it is easy. Last week though we were having some friends over on a Sunday afternoon, then they called to say they were coming early- like 3 hours early and I had literally just stepped into the kitchen to bake afternoon tea, oh and I was out of butter !!
So a quick flick through a few recipe books to find something that did not require butter- not as easy as it sounds and I came across this little slice recipe. It was so easy and turned out super yummy and so I thought I would share it with everyone. It is just perfect for a throw together snack for guests.
