Hello again dear friends it has been a little while : ) You should all know that your comments, emails, thoughts, prayers, offers for help, uplifting words and every other avenue of support each and every one of you has offerred means the world to me. I might not have time to respond to all of my emails but please know I read every single one of them.
Lately I have no “felt” like writing. A strange concept to me as for 2 years I wanted to write every single day. And even when I did take a break I missed it, this, you the blog terribly. Maybe in a crisis you revaluate what is the MOST important thing to be doing with your time.
This is what 4 weeks of Project Life “stuff” looks like. My photos are in but I have no journaling done or stuff in my albums
I spoke a little about this little project I did with Jen a while ago- A day in my life in photos. Totally planned the night before and no where near enough time to get ready the way I would have liked- but such is life. I pushed back a lot on this one (poor Jen) I am much more comfortable behind the camera instead of in front of it and so I resisted.
Looking back I have over 300 photos of just one day from my life. Just a small snippet as we were actually out for the morning. A slither is my life as a mother and as I looked back and reflected on these moments in my day I felt an overwhelming love for this day that was captured. I like most of you have very few photos of me doing what I love most- mothering. I am busy making snacks, cleaning highchairs and stacking the dishwasher for the 45th time that day and so my life goes by un-photogrpahed. Sad really.
Todays POTD idea/task is to find something seemingly small thank you are thankful for.
For me? It is the ability to make the same breakfast for the boys now that Oliver is old enough to be having porridge for breakfast. Small…. yes. BUT it makes to morning so much easier and simplifies my life just a little bit.
The both have fruit puree mixed in and today this was 2 apples, one kiwi fruit and an apricot. The time this takes in the steamer/blender is the same time the porridge takes too cook.
Challenge one-
Do you menu plan? This template takes me back to my very very first blog post which happened to be this exact template I use for menu planning. As I went to plan our menu for this week I realised I have never photographed our menu plan for my Project Life. This is a simple but effective snapshot of our lives at the moment and so here it is.
Firstly thank you SO much for all of your sweet comments on the last few days of posts. It makes me seriously estatic to know that my little albums and videos might just have inspired some of you. It might just have given you an idea, something to roll with something to change the way you view photos. Yes there are more coming in store over the next week or so you will see my Becky Higgins baby kit albums, Family and Olivers scrapbook to date and THE house tour you all keep on asking me for LOL. Now that I have figured out this video thing you might just quickly get sick of the sound of my voice.
SO you liked the video? It seems so. I love that the videos enable me to get a lot of information across to you in a super short space and time. Firstly the question asked a lot from yesterday is the 12×12 page protectors in small squares shown at the end- they are part of the Becky Higgins baby kit she bought out a few years ago-and yes by popular request I will be shooting a video of these albums and showing you these later this week.
Ok so from reading some of your comments on Facebook I think some of you might need a little inspiration or some new ideas for this project SO I shot a video about a month back of my album and I am finally getting around to posting it. I will be doing a little bit more on PL and some other albums during the week as well. I hope it gives you some ideas for your own albums.
Side note seriously why did I say “sewed” is that even a word? ANYWAY moving right along LOL. Want to see another album or have any idea of your own that you have used in your own album please share : ) For me I am working on including memorabilia, tickets, shopping lists etc in my scrapbooks. What about you? What are you going to change/ do better/ improve on.
