Children being fed takes up a lot of time in our home and I am sure a lot of other mothers are nodding in agreement with me on this one. So I decided to do a little series on what we cook, how we cook, store and organise for this all important daily event.
Some days I feel like I make a meal, clean up a meal and child and in no time the cycle starts again for another child or another meal or snack.
Oh I know so very many of you have been waiting for this one. You can google around and find your own websites and reviews but I know from personal experience sometimes it is great to hear it from someone who has actually done it and for them to explain to you what it is all about and how it works. So today I am going to share my experience with you.

Not just cute photos of my boys having their first bath together. But on that note aren’t they just simply devine : ) I love bath time. Such fabulous, innocent, clean and happy fun. It signals the winding down of the day and calms everyone down- especially a bubble bath.

As you would have seen from my short post a few days ago my kits arrived !! Jump for joy : ) Very much long awaited and anticipated the excitement every year never dwindles for me. By the end of the 365 days I am MORE than ready for a nice new colourway to look at every single day. I will be sharing my use for the second kit I purchase soon but for today I will show you my set up for our family album.
Now lets just do a quick recap Project Life is a photo a day concept where you take a photo every day and then journal about it- this is kit is set up to accomodate 365 photos if thats what you want it to be. There are also lots of other ways that you can use this kit including for your children’s photos which I will be sharing soon. If you are in Australia you can purchase the kit from Kiwi Scraps HERE although my understanding is that the Amber kit is for now sold out.
Yes you read right LOL. I have wanted to do this post of organising the toilet area for awhile but I thought it might seem weird. Then come the new year I just thought Oh well, lets just do it ! So here comes the post about my ensuite toilet and how I organise it.
This is what the shelf looks like in our ensuite toilet.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on yesterday’s post. You guys are so sweet. A few quick things to note- the hair? Hairspray and a pony tail LOL. I HATE my hair in my face so it needed to be away for that night. The photos are very precious to us. Such a short moment in your life and so important and yet so little photos most of the time.
We were determined to catch more of those moments this time around. Many of you asked how we got the photos, my husband Simon took some and also my girlfriend Alicia who has attended both of the births of the boys took some, my mum also took a few so it was an entire group effort which I love. Everyone got to be in the moment but also snapped a few photos- a great balance.
The other day we turned our backyard into a water fun park for some outdoor play. It was SO much fun and I realised throughout the day that we use a few organising bits and pieces in the backyard to help control the “clutter” associated with going in the pool/ sprinklers etc and today I thought I would share those with you.

So lots of you have asked me about diaries for 2011 and I am going to share with you a great diary that I received in the mail to review from Linda at Mum’s Memory. To start with here is a quick overview from Linda, then see below for my own review and photos : )
I am pleased to be able to offer “The Mum’s Memory” to other gorgeous Mum’s wanting to get Organised for 2011.
So you probably still have mantle full of cards if you are anything like me : ) And we love them all. We keep them up on the shelf at home as long as possible and then take them all down early January.
I urge you to find an organisational system that works for you with your cards and implement this in your home so that you can look over and cherish your friends and families lovely photos in the years to come.
The sink. The heart of your kitchen and one of the areas that is most likely to get messy the quickest right? So lets create a little area to store everything and keep it all neatly together.
I know having this stuff out on a bench is not an option for everyone as you just might not have the space or it will look messy, in this case finding something to store these items in under the sink would definitely be the way to go. But in our home having it out means I use it all a lot more and it is easily accessible. As I use these things 300 million times a day I need them to be within easy reach.
