Having enough storage is super important to me. Having a place for everything makes life easier for me and the house run smoothly. This house didn’t come with a lot of built in storage. I have had to add a lot of bits and pieces to make the space look neat tidy and organised and I thought I would share a few bits and pieces today I have been working on.
I have been flat out all week. Between the normal life of washing, cooking, cleaning, food shopping and looking after the little boys I have been doing my best to chip away at what seems like the enormous task of unpacking (I have WAY too much stuff). BUT as rooms get just a little bit more finished off and it starts to look a little more like home I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
In a few short weeks I will be undertaking the largest renovation I have ever done- a kitchen and a few weeks later a laundry. Daunting for me without a doubt- but necessary in this house as storage is sadly lacking. Ikea to the rescue and as measurements are made and quotes given I am getting closer- looking forward to sharing more on that soon.
Busy but happy chaos is the best way to describe moving. I am blessed to be starting fresh with a fabulous blank canvas to super organise : ) I look forward to sharing the decorating journey with you!!
I just wanted to share with you a quick update I did for our shelf in the Home Theatre room. Remember what it looked like before?

I know, I know I am a daily blogger. Well I used to be. That was before I had 2 boys a Christening and Halloween party to plan, costumes to find for Kindy, parks to play at, matching lollies to source for the party and so much more.
So just a snapshot of what we have been up to over the last few days-
Not quite sure what happened with the blog over the weekend, the server seemed to go down for awhile but we are back to regular posting now : ) I missed you guys !!
Our weekend was busy. We did a few things around the house and there was LOTS of organising for Oliver’s upcoming Christening, I am having so much fun planning it all- but it is also a lot of work, I will start to share bits and pieces as I put them together !!
It is no secret that I LOVE to party plan and so when I stumbled across the blog One Charming Party I was SOLD. Love this blog !! It is so sweet and there are SO many great ideas and fabulous party things to try. When I discovered the blog I signed up for the great newsletter and I received my first one this week- it is short and sweet and has lots of great pictures examples which I love- see blow.
I thought I would share another little project we did around the house a few weeks ago. I had a pin board that I had bought years ago from Target, I picked it up from the clearance section for $11 and it has been sitting unused in my linen closet with no home. Then one day I was browsing on Etsy and I came accross these great wall decals – The Laundry room, loads of fun. For $15 it is a great way to dress a blank wall, they are easy to install and easy to remove if necessary as they do not remove any paint. You can order the colour to match your space and so I tried to get something similar to the pin board I already had.

Oh so much of this is happening right now. I am SO tired and really feeling the last few weeks of pregnancy. I still have a to do list a mile long, not enough time and energy, a toddler testing my patience and a few new stretch marks to consolidate the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I cannot get enough sleep and by Monday afternoon I need another weekend !! At the same time with all that is challenging about the last weeks of any pregnancy I am also trying to enjoy every last little movement, roll, flutter and kick as I know I will miss this feeling all too soon.
These are a few more nursery shots for today’s nursery organising post.

Small storage nook spaces can be great for storing your most used item in the nursery. This little side table next to my arm chair is great, in the top drawer I have dummies and bibs and in the bottom flannels. These small pieces of furniture don’t take up a lot of room, are cheap and can store heaps of bits and pieces.
