For the love of more crafting.
Some little chickens- again incorporating the little ones handprints which I just love, love, love. I am not quite sure why but there is something about the shape of the little hands and feet of my boys which makes me smile every time I walk past them on the wall.
I started with the fabulous download from the Little delightful blog HERE. I printed this on cardstock and cut them both out before I started. Flynn agreed to paint the “fluff” on Oliver’s chicken as he is a bit little for painting.
I have a simple little craft for you today that might be great for your Sunday with the kids.
I simply traced around one of our easter egg plates and then we glued the paper and started added some buttons.
Loose recipes.
A struggle for me for awhile now as I collect them from all over the place. Then I saw this cute recipe binder at Typo and I knew this is exactly what I needed.

Firstly a word on my old system as organisation is constantly evolving around here, what worked for me and the family 12 months ago just might not be valid now and so things are every changing.

I know it looks like a simple over the sink colander but really it is so very muh more than that. I feel privileged in my life to be surrounded by so many amazing women who I can call my friends.
I love the idea of turning my children crafts into artwork : ) They make such wonderful and creative things and were I can I like to be able to display them for everyone to see.
The fridge in the standard place for us for the mountain of stuff coming home from school , but with this little craft we did the other day I wanted to display it somewhere special- I am a sucker for anything with a handprint on.
Well this mumma’s version anyway.

I wanted to share with you another hidden vegetable recipe today disguised as an unsuspecting Mac and cheese with a side of rissoles.
Amanda is a super star. She was so inspired she unplugged for a week from Facebook and cut down on all other non essential internet time. She re-gained her time, her life, motherhood was more amazing she spent more time with her children. But what she discovered that is what I was trying to say but couldn’t find the right words which is why I loved her story oh so much!
Her children were more important that the person on the screen.
This is the one word I use to describe my life right now when people ask “how am I going”. I make sure to always be clear though- It is a happy busy, a loving busy, a fulfilling busy. The at peace moments you have when you feel like you are doing just exactly what you should be in your life right now. It is a full on busy though- kindy, babies, nappies, feeding, housework, date night, dinner parties, mopping, work, hobbies and blogging.
Such is life. I am a busy momma and that is my first priority, my family, home – just the way it should be. As difficult as my days can be and as challenging as certain moments and situations and days can be for me I know that all of these experiences in my life are there for a reason. I like to think that every “curve ball” is put there for me to learn and grow from, to get better and what I do, to become a better person.
These boys are similar in a lot of ways.
But they are also chalk and cheese in oh so many way- photographs is one of them. I have one who has never from the moment he was born liked photos. But then we have Oliver who just hearts the camera, as you can see.

Sometimes it is just well worth keeping the out takes isn’t it : )
Not every craft has to be a huge production, lot of effort of lots of money. I have found sometimes to simplest of crafts can be fabulous and very well received by Flynn. I want to share with you today a few super simple and easy crafts we did up at the table waiting for dinner to be ready. I love doing writing or colouring as a before dinner activity if Simon is cooking as it is great quality time but also calms Flynn down before he starts dinner.
Firstly free downloads. My oh my there are oh SO many great crafts resources out there online for you to enjoy and use just google Easter colouring and you will have more than your could ever use. I just printed out this little easter egg sheet and we coloured in each egg.
