Organise Easy

Last weekend I headed to Mathilda’s Market it was a wonderful market with lots of unique baby products. One of the companies that caught my eye was Organise Easy, they had a few great products for sale- list pads for the fridge, white boards and clips for the fridge. What make this product different is not just the cuteness factor but also the fact that these products stick to slick surfaces including stainless fridges.

I bought the three pack of clips found here which is great as I can use them for both my stuff and also Flynn’s art. There are so many cute designs to choose from the decisions are endless. Here is a look at my newly organised fridge : )

Daycare Treats

We did some simple Easter cookies over the weekend for Flynn to be able to give out to his teachers. I also made some for my work colleagues in the office and a few friends. We just used a simple chocolate cookie recipe base and cut the mixture out into little eggs.

We then topped the eggs with pre made Betty Crocker vanilla  icing and then dipped them in sprinkles. They were simple and easy and I was then able to package them up into some little easter bags from Woolworths.

Easter muffins

It is worthwhile to think outside the box a little when it comes to holidays like easter. There are lots of bits and pieces that you can buy and I have shared a lot of these with you over the last few weeks. But there are also lots of great things that you can do that are free and using things you will likely already have at home.

Firstly find a cute download for cupcake toppers here. I printed 3 sheets of these for muffins and cupcakes.

Love is…

That feeling of life growing and moving and rolling inside you is like no other. No matter how hard the day and how tired I am and how I can barely shave my legs anymore every time he moves I smile and feel eternally happy and grateful for that special moment-

Blog news

Since we installed the gorgeous new layout on the blog there have been a few issues that I just wanted to make you aware of. When you now look through posts, use the archive or categories to go back and look at old posts there is no previous posts button therefore you can only access the last 10 or so posts in this category. The lovely ladies at Beyond the baby (who know far more about all this blog stuff than I ever will) are working to get this fixed ASAP. Apologies for this issues rest assured it will be fixed for you soon. **Edited to add- looks like this is now fixed yay : ) ** The other problem is some pf the photos are coming through a little “stretched” looking and so this is being looked into as well- thank you for your patience with this.

We missed the challenge of the month for March (sorry about that) things were a little crazy around here. But for the month of April we are going to be doing Car organisation : ) I have had a few email requests for this over the last few days and so I thought it would be the perfect article/challenge to run for April. This month I  would love to hear from you about what you organise throughout the month and if you have any photo’s/ stories/ places you found great storage solutions for your car email me so I can share this with everyone. You can look for this article on April 1, I will be also doing posts on this throughout the month as well.

Organising for baby

So I am 30 weeks this week. Whoa the time is flying by, it really goes so much quicker the second time around. I am starting to get some things organised around the house which feels great and I am going to be doing up a master to do list this week of what we have left to do. It is funny how that nesting instinct kicks in and this energy and desire to sort the ENTIRE house comes from. Things I have over looked for months maybe even years are now bothering me so much I have to get stuck in right then and there. No corner of the house is save- no cupboard, drawer or room.

The best things in life are free…

I tell myself this a lot and remind myself constantly that I am so blessed to have such a rich life but I love it when something seemingly small happens that is a shock reminder of how true this little saying really is. On the weekend we had planned to take Flynn to the WA Maritime Museum, it was something we had wanted to do all summer and we knew we had to fit it in before the weather started to turn. As we drive down on this sunny Saturday I was thrilled to see that the local fire station had all of the trucks lined up outside the fire station (washing them all down). Now Flynn is just about as obsessed as you can get with Fire Engines- he talks about them ALL day long so I pointed them out to him as we were about to drive past. I then turned to Simon in a split second and said “lets pull in quickly and he can get out and have a proper look”.

So we  parked and walked over the road and Flynn was seriously enchanted. His little face was just so priceless it just made my heart melt he could not stop talking to all of the fire men, pointing out the different trucks and the ladders and hoses etc. Then all of a sudden one of the Firemen offered for Flynn to sit in the truck (so so sweet I thanked  him over and over, he was just so kind) and he was smitten/shocked/thrilled beyond belief I don’t think  he knew quite what to think.

Easter Craft Project

So I have shared a few of last years projects with you but we are also doing a few new things this year- nothing huge just a few little things to entertain the busy toddler. So here is a little chicken door hanger we made together last week.

Step 1- Have an Easter egg first just to get you started. …READ MORE

Your memories

LOVE this quote from Ali Edwards when I saw it I knew I had to do a post about preserving your memories and just how important it is. I know that a lot of my readers are in fact scrapbookers or you might be participating in Project Life, either way you are preserving your memories. You WILL forget these things in the years to come if you don’t write them down and preserve them. There is absolutely no doubt about that, coming from someone who went back and scrapbooked things like Flynn’s first year with the baby kit I posted last week and even though I had scrapbooked this time because I had not journaled throughout this time enough I have forgotten so much. I will never get that time back now and so I make it a priority of my own to tell our family story.

Some more Easter goodies

Easter egg cookies. I got this idea last year and we made these little cookies for our treat bags. The recipe is the same basic cookie recipe I always use (see this below)  I just added a half solid egg to the top prior to baking. This is a great recipe to use for these cookies as they only have to bake for 10 minutes so you still get the egg shape even once they are baked in the oven.
