I decided to do Project Life Tuesday a little differently this week and include for you all of my layouts so far for the year. I might do this is on a regular basis so you can see the pages all put together. I am again loving this project this year and enjoying the quick easy and simple process of putting it all together.
Just to recap for those just tuning in, Project Life is a concept of documenting your life in photos for an entire year. You take one photo everyday of the everyday stuff and also the event based things that happen in your year like birthday’s wedding’s etc. You can really take a photo of anything, remember what seems silly to document now will be so interesting to look back on in 12 months or even 12 years. It is such a great window into your life and what you are doing right now.
KISS- Keep it simple ..
Yum, I love cookies and iced cookies are even better : ) These are super easy to make and very yummy, vanilla cookies with a vanilla icing.

I just wanted to share with you a cute little extra Valentine’s project I made last week after seeing the Becky Higgins post-it love notes on her blog here and here (there are two lots of downloads). I adapted it a little from the one on the blog and made little Love Notes books for some close family and friends to include in their little Valentine’s bags.
I printed off the download cards, then I cut out a front card the same size and a backing card in a cute valentines print. With the blank love notes card I printed 10 of these per mini book so these can be used for the little notes. I adhered the Love Notes title label to the front and back cards and then just added a little heart. Once all the cards were printed and corner rounded I then punch a hole in them all and added a pink ring to hold them all together.
My philosophy on holidays like Valentines day does not involve gifts, chocolate, flowers or expensive dinners. As a family for us these are not necessary to show that we love each other. But making a little love note, spending some special time crafting with Flynn and taking about how much we love him and making small gifts for others to express our love for them is. It is a time of the year to stop and appreciate those around you in your life and what makes them so special to you.
I know that our friends and family appreciate the thought, love and effort that goes in to every creation that we make as a family. It is a small way to say thank you for being in our lives and enriching it. Becky Higgins wrote a post here and it made me smile as I was in the middle of composing this post back last Monday and I loved everything she was talking about in her post especially the parts about if your actions throughout your life at the moment are portraying love. I encourage you to go over and have a read of her philosophy surrounding these sorts of holidays and I encourage you to go out this week and do something for someone in your life, a teacher, a friend or a stranger to show them that you care.
I have not done a pregnancy post in awhile and so I thought I would do a little update as I head past the halfway mark.

And I am so excited. I look SO tired in this photo, Flynn had barely slept the night before and I was up all night but despite this I capture this tired moment anyway. I then had a rather large coffee and spent the night putting my album together- photos to come over the weekend.

This was another new recipe I tried out the other day, I felt like I had fallen into a little cooking rut and was not trying new things !! Being a busy mum you tend to stick to the tried, true and easy recipes and so I really stretched myself the last few weeks to give the cookbooks a dust off and find some new and yummy recipes to try, photograph, eat and then of course share with you : )
I love my mum. She was such an amazing Mother for me all throughout my younger years and now into adult hood. I have many many fond memories from my childhood but what I find funny is that is is the small stuff that seems to stick with you the most, licking the bowl when cooking, having themed parties, having a dessert dinner night (where you eat dessert before dinner), getting Mc Donalds on our birthday morning if it was a school day etc. It is all the little things that make the memories so wonderful and magical.
One of the memories that stuck with me was my mum making us mini pancakes/pikelets whenever she made a batch. They were so cute and small and we always loved them. Such a small thing but gosh it was fun. So this weekend when I made pancakes for breakfast I did the same for my son Flynn. He got some itty bitty teeny tiny pancakes : ) He thought they were wonderful and I am so happy to be able to continue this small tradition and memory with my own child.
We had a great week last week and enjoyed lost of fun crafts and cooking for Valentines day : ) It made the week a lot more exciting having something to plan for each day.

Welcome to the first challenge/article for the month of February : ) I welcome you to the Bathroom challenge and into my home and Bathroom’s. Please find the article by clicking onto the Article tab at the top of the page. I will be adding my own before and after shots as I come on the challenge with everyone and we will be able to share them all in the forum as well.
