It dawned on me this morning as I was lying in bed with my two boys that we really are a family of four already. With four in our bed and one child kicking me from behind the other from the front I am already a mother of two gorgeous little boys. And so with that sentiment I go into my Sunday with a smile and a full heart, truly blessed to be a wife and the mother of two little boys.
Oh and that at least the big boy is having a sleep in this morning ; )
As you already know I went away on a little work trip this week. I wanted to get this trip done before I got too pregnant as it is about 7-8 hours in the car (with lunch stops etc) and also I really do love it down here in Albany. Between appointments with customers I managed to fit in some sightseeing and capture some of this great town. One of the things I love most about this town is the fabulous wind farm – they generate a lot of the towns electricity from these awesome machines and they really are beautiful to see in real life.

We do a fair bit of crafting in this house and so when it came to how to store it for the sake of my sanity and with soooo many small pieces of glitter/paint and glue etc I have these along a shelf in the playroom away from sticky fingers. The things that can cause a lot less damage like crayons, chalk, colouring in books etc and kept on the table and within arms reach. This system works for us as there is a little bit of trust there for him to behave but also things like paint kept up high, as he gets older I plan on having these within easy access for him.
Everything you see on the shelf including the actual shelf is from that glorious blue building named Ikea (I have shares in that place !!) Starting from the left the blue containers have various little compartments and we have one for wooden threads beads to make necklaces etc and the other houses lots of trains !The little tin canisters I got just top break up the sea of plastic containers but they have been handing for those little pieces of toys that you find when tidying up. The clear containers are full of various larger craft items like sponges, glitter pens, playdough toys etc. And the coloured containers have crayons, textas, finger puppets in them.
A few people asked about these cookies I posted a photo of on Valentines day so I thought I would post the recipe. These were really easy and very effective, you could use other cut outs as well if you are making them for birthdays etc. This recipe is straight from taste.com

Whilst baby and I take our first real road trip I hope you enjoy some posts I prepared earlier this week over the next few days. I will be back soon with lots of photo’s to share until then…
The view for the 7 plus hours-
Here are my Project Life photos for this week
Some gorgeous tulips and a lovely card with a box of chocolates made me feel really special on Valentines Day, I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. Commercial or not I loved it.
I have done a huge clean and tidy in my craft room over the last few weeks and amazingly even through creating lots of bits and pieces it has managed to stay relatively tidy so I thought I would share a few of the things I have changed in this room that has worked for me. I think you could also adapt a lot of these ideas to a home office set up as well.
For starters something I have been doing for about a year now is using a layout/project list to keep track of what layouts I want to complete and need to get photos developed for. That layout list is like my little project bible for all things creative that I make throughout the month. Here is a glimpse of what my list is looking like at the moment, I just keep adding to it until the page is full- I have about 6 stapled together an then I just start a new one.
“[Home] is the center from which we define and understand the nature of everything we encounter in the world.
The home . . . is not one thing among many in a world of things; nor is it merely the product of a culture. Rather, the world of things derives its sense, and a culture its significance, from their relationship to the home. Without the home, everything else in the world or in a culture is meaningless.”
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Jessica Turner over at Mom Creative for linking me on her post today about Project Life layouts : ) If you are looking for some inspiration and ideas for your album check her today’s post here. There are so many things you can do with this album it is just so versatile I love Erin’s take on turning this into an album for her daughter.
And just because I cannot possibly have a post without a photo- here is what made me happy yesterday, a gorgeous girlfriend of mine sent me all these Itty bitty Tupperware containers- it is hard to believe that by Christmas these will be in the freezer full of baby food : )
I know a few of your have been anxiously awaiting my review on this planner and so I hope you enjoy this post. I will try to include as much information and close up photos as I can but if there is anything extra you would like to ask questions about please leave a comment on this post and I will try to help.
